Members who have a particular interest that they want to share with others have organized Special Interest Groups. These groups are a wonderful way to meet women who share a common interest. They range from tours of metropolitan Washington, D.C. area sights to exercise classes on virtual platforms (V). Special Interest Groups set their own schedules and some charge a fee to help cover their costs. Participation is optional. A member can sign up for as many Special Interest Groups as she desires or start one of her own.

Cooking Tunes-Monthly Column for a Cook’s Inquisitive Mind! (V)
Offering advice, tips, and key answers to cooking questions (including a question a month from you!). Plus, ideas for musical accompaniment to enrich the culinary experience!
There seems to be an endless variety of cuisines just around the corner from Lake Barcroft. We lunch together monthly tantilizing our taste buds at new and interesting restaurants. We talk, we laugh, we eat! It's such an adventure.
A live 60-minute “follow along from home” class. Have fun improving your balance, strength, flexibility, mobility and cardio. Exercise tailored to various fitness levels, with modification examples for each. This class has a fee.
Theatre Adventures Group Leaders select seven highly regarded live performances scheduled at local theaters including Signature, Shakespeare, Arena Stage, etc. at the start of the Club year. Members pay a group-based discounted price for the performances they choose to attend.
On a monthly Wednesday evening during the Club year, participants gather at the Group Leader's lakeside home to watch a notable, sometimes foreign, film on a projection wall. Light refreshments and of course, popcorn are plentiful!

Living in a community of talented people with varied cultural and professional backgrounds brings us opportunities to discover different and sometimes new insights into areas of the world and life that are outside of our daily norm. A guest speaker is planned monthly on a Sunday afternoon.

Join a monthly book club where its members select titles of interest then share their insights during each meeting.

Do you love to make things whether its papercrafting, beading, knitting, crochet or other needlework? Bring your project in progress or start a new craft or project in a supportive environment.
Ikebana Flower Arrangement (V)
Simple yet beautiful floral compositions with seasonal materials. You are welcome to watch a demonstration and then make your own arrangement or simply observe.

Learn and practice playing a popular American version of this ancient Chinese game on Mondays during the Club year. It's part strategy, part luck ... and loads of fun!
